The 1st Annual War at the South Jersey Shore NATIONAL Folkstyle Wrestling Championships at the new Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ was a huge success.

On the Saturday before Easter, April 10, 2004, we attracted the nation's best wrestlers to Wildwood's spanking new 260,000 square feet space at the Wildwoods Convention Center on the Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. The first annual edition of the War at the South Jersey Shore National Folkstyle Wrestling Championships was wrestled on 14 mats, establishing itself as a marquee national caliber event in its first year. As advertised, the Wildwoods Convention Center proved to be one of the best facilities ever seen for wrestling, ANYWHERE!

It was an individual Open youth tournament, featuring 48 weight classes spread across the usual 4 Youth age divisions. In addition, we also featured a High School division, with 16 weight classes.

266,000 square feet. 13 match mats on main floor. 1 warm up mat, 1 challenge match mat (total of 15 mats), ocean view.
